Urban Cowgirl Designs Infinity Scarf and Headband

Today I am delighted and eager to share with you all a ravishing and fun shop called, Urban Cowgirl Designs. She is an entrepreneur and designer all while being a  Wife and Mother of two.

The infinity scarves are absolutely adorable and great to pair up with any outfit. I wear mine on date nights, taking my Daughters to school on chilly days and to run my Mom trips to the stores. The fabric is soft to the skin and the pattern and colors come true to the photos. I am in love with my new infinity scarf and have added it to my daily collection of scarfs. I know you would enjoy yours too. Not to mention it has kept my neck warm being I'm a Michigander.

Oh goodness do my Daughters truly love hair accessories and "oh my" were they thrilled to see this pretty goodness get delivered. It is a one-size fits all child's headband. It sure does because the fabric is nice and stretchy and I was able to test it out on my three Daughters. I sound like a child saying stretchy...Ha!
It's perfect and girly just like my Daughters. Don't worry Urban Cowgirl Designs has more patterns to choose from for your sweet child. Again the fabric is soft to the skin. I love it...the girls love it...we're supper happy!

Head over to Urban Cowgirl Designs shop and take a look around and of course don't forget to take advantage of this special code for 20% off that is being offered to you right now. I know you won't be disappointed.

Inside My Beauty Bag

As a busy Mom I'll be completely honest with you when it comes down to make-up.  One...I do not have a ton of make up. Just enough to fit in my make up bag. Two...I pretty much only have the basic essentials and natural colors when it comes to my make-up. Thirdly... I do not wear make up on a daily basis besides covering up my blemishes, those tired Mom circles underneath my eyes or a little something that may sneak up every so often on my face. Grr!! I'll share in a different post another time how I cover up my tired Mom eyes. I impress myself at it on most days.
Besides the essentials that I keep in my make up bag I started to keep Envy Derm Eyeliner. I typically keep the basic non-liquid eye liner (pencil) that you have to sharpen in my make-up bag. Honestly It can become slightly an annoyance. That was until I was introduced to the Envy Derm Eyeliner. I fell in love with this liquid eyeliner.  After a few practice runs I got the hang up using the liquid eyeliner and now I'd prefer this over the pencil.
The best secret about the Envy Derm Eyeliner is it is an eyelash enhancement as well as conditioning liquid. The second best reason why I love having this liquid eye liner in my beauty bag.

What is your favorite eye liner?

Starbucks Lipstick Legend

I love lipstick. I wear typically wear lipstick five out of seven days in the week. Lipstick is a great accessory to have in your make-up bag.

I have to start off with this some what of a funny, yet true story. Yes the main character is myself and this happened just this past week at our local Starbucks that I am a regular at.

I had a coffee date with my Mother at our local Starbucks this past week one evening. Not to mention during their busy "college study and free wifi homework time." Previously to walking out of my home, I had applied the finishing touches to my outfit...lipstick. If you know me I love lipstick, my daughters love lipstick and we love looking at lipstick in the stores. I love wearing the latest color trends and the more settle color tones as well.

The color I ended up wearing into Starbucks was a very bright pink.. Let me tell you I didn't realize this until I walked into Starbucks. I open the door, step inside and heads turn like always, then their paralyzed. At first I was confused why all the stares. Then I had that ah-ha moment. The dang lipstick! They must have all been prettified for me.

As what felt like a lifetime of me standing in the entrance, I continued to walk the red carpet over to the counter to order my usual: skinny vanilla latte. Again, the baristas stood there talking with their eyes while ever so glancing over at my; yes I already knew my bright as heck pink lipstick. I wanted to badly say something while ordering my latte, but I continued on pretending they knew nothing about fashion or trends.

if you don't know already, I am an extrovert, therefore when I stand out it does not bother me, I almost enjoy it. So when this went down in history my Mother and I had a huge laugh when she arrived after she ordered her coffee.

Lets just say they will probably remember me by the lipstick lady, ha ha! And lesson learned...be careful what lipstick advice you take from your 5 year old daughter. Even if it is just to please them. And the next time I go to that Starbucks I should walk in wearing this shirt. You can find this cute shirt HERE.

What To Wear?!

You may not have guessed trying to figure out what you should wear would be an issue as a young Mother. It was more of a stressful matter for myself when I was a young Mother around the age of 18. Even still is somewhat to this day at the age of 26. Though my style and taste is starting to mature a tad.
I did not dress...lets see, how can I put this without using judgmental sounding like words, without taste? I dressed like your typical eighteen year old in the summer with shorts and tanks that were sold in the juniors department. I did have modesty. In the winter months I wore what was in style for the seasons. I still do and am always doing my best to keep up with the times and my age. But I somewhat felt I had to dress older than what I am because I was/am a Mom at a younger age.

I  wasn't ready to step into the women's department just because I was a Mother now. Hello I was only eighteen at the time. I was judged back then when I would be out in public for many reasons. One, because I was a teenage mom I know. Two, because I didn't make-over my whole wardrobe to what others expected it should have been. That's when I started to realize what society expects of us as human beings and as Mothers. It amazed me and put me in shocked me. I knew I wasn't about to join to today's society and become what's the word, camouflage. I never would regardless if I were a young Mother or not, and those who know me know that also.

So I stuck to my fashion style for my age no matter what. And today I stick my tongue out at society like my two year old daughter. Sorry if you think that is childish.

Which brings me to yesterday at Target with my lovely Husband. I had my eye's on these Pants for some time now. He's not a fan. When I say not a fan, he thinks they are hideous looking. And when he thinks that I honestly start to second guess myself because he's actually great when it comes to fashion and loves to shop. I know I am a lucky lucky gal.

While I am hanging onto the pants he brings up how I have gotten rid of his old shirts. Typical guy right? By old in my offense, old is from high school shirts. Because the conversation about me be judged about what I wear vs. being a young mom came up. So again in my offense I am no longer wearing close I wore in high school. Do you agree it's time he lets go of his clothes from high school if he wants to buy new clothes?  <Enter chuckle here. >  Let me tell you he has no room for more clothes, ha ha.

Therefore our jokingly conversation continues and I mention how I can start dressing in the department way at the other end. Which I do find some clothes in misses sometimes. Needles to say, we walked out of Target with my pants I originally wanted. I can't wait to wear them on date night. Ha ha.

Though now I am starting to as I call it, blend in with the motherhood scene. My kids are just a tad but older than some kids. Or I am younger than most Mothers in my Daughter's grades.

Majestical Jewelry Review!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

A good outfit can make a women feel that extra ounce of confidence. Apart of that outfit is the accessories. Accessories can be the finishing touch to an outfit. Necklaces, ear rings, bracelets, scarfs, etc. are the last part of my outfit that I pick out. Therefore they I like to call then my finishing touches. They are the glue that brings the outfit together.

That's where Majestical Jewelry comes in. If your like me, a busy stay at home mom, it can be hard to get out of the house. I was able to head over to their website and look around. They have diverse pricing and a variety jewelry. They have all styles of jewelry to fit every ones taste.

I personally fell in love with the ear rings they sent me. They honestly seemed a little on the heavy side once I took them out of the nice box they came in. Although once I placed them in my ears, it felt as if they were not there. Oddly enough. I love that they look classy and like I would have spent some decent money on them. Well worth the quality and comfort since I am all about comfort when it comes to ear rings.

I sure cannot wait to wears these out on a date night with my husband.

Majestical Jewelry is offering to all my readers a promotional code for 15.00 dollars OFF all order over  55.00 dollars or more.  The promotional code is: 15DOLLARSOFF

New Mom Hair Do: Ombre!!

If you follow me on Instagram you have been watching my hair transformation these past few weeks. For the past at least six years I have been blond. Just recently I've decided that it was time for a change. I was getting tired of being bright blond. I was ready for something more settle and relaxing. Therefore I thought hey I will go back to my natural color. Well...that did not last too long. It honestly did not phase me to much.

That's when I had the brilliant idea of going ombre. I have been wanting to go ombre for the past year. My hair is long enough now and and it's dark so why not. I decided I was going for it and taking the chance. So I headed back to my favorite hair stylist at Salon 84. I am so glad I took that chance because I fell in love with it and of course some alone Mommy time is always good.

Hope you all had a fun and blessed weekend!

Raising Daughters & Fashion

As a mother of three beautiful daughters I am blessed with the daily joys of watching them grow into little women. From learning how to dress themselves to picking out their own outfits.

Throwback! Our oldest when she was younger.
One of the things that has stuck out lately to me while raising our daughters is that fashion starts when your roughly 2 years old. The more our daughters mature the more they love fashion. Whether or not they know it by the name fashion just yet. To them it may be just clothes in a closet and shoes on the floor. But to me I can see their creativity rolling when they are putting that outfit together for the next morning. Matching colors, patterns and of course which shoes goes best with the outfit.
last night as our four year old daughter walks into our bedroom she noticed I had purchased a new necklace that I had already hung nicely on my jewelery stand. She turns and says to me in such a posh voice, "mom I love your new necklace. I am loving the strips." She then noticed my new sweater from H&M and proceeded to tell me that she loved the color. It then struck me that I was having a fashion conversation with my four year old and I loved it.

As I sit here this morning writing this I am partially listening to all three of them playing barbies in the other room. It stands out when I hear them saying, "the fashion show is over here." As a mother of three daughters who loves fashion herself, I feel blessed that I am able to share these moments and talk fashion with my daughters. I will continue to enjoy listening to them talk fashion as they mature. Most of all I will embrace our fashion conversation and someday allow them into my very own closet. Which right now when they look into it, I can see in their eyes it's like a glowing paradise of fashion they cannot wait to get their hands on. Soon my little loves soon.

Our youngest is still working on her sense of style. Then again her older sisters do have a couple years on her.

My New Permanent Fashion Accessory...

My new permanent fashion accessory; glasses.

Yes I may seem a little excited over them. If you were me you may be too. Only because this may be the answer to the last of my migraines that the change of food, and medication can not help. Secondly so I can actually see with out a blur. I admit I should have gone in a long time ago when my husband told me to, after I stated I had a hard time reading street signs. I am excited to get lost in books again. They have been pushed aside on the shelf. Come to find out I am near and far sighted. Weird huh? We think so too but it explains a lot. For once since I started blogging I could actually write this post without feeling strain in my eyes and having to take a break. Ah...feels wonderful.

My choice of glasses are perfect for me. I had to pick something that stood out with my personality. If I am going to have to wear these all day ever day, they need to be fashionable. I think the ladies in the office loved it. They kept stating how cute they are and how I'm not sticking to normal glasses. He he. Of course this won't be my only pair. I need a pair of red ones right? Ha ha.

Now here is to getting use to my new fashion accessories. Or as we call them for our youngest daughter who too wears glasses; pretties.

Rainy Day Fashion For The Busy Mom

Today in Michigan it is a rainy, gloomy fall day. So whats better than to share a perfect outfit for a day like today? Today's outfit has a little of my own personal style in it.

  • Hunter rain boots. I absolutely love mine. They are warm and fast to slip on for us moms constantly on the go.
  • The red cape. I love capes in the fall. It is not quit cold enough to dig the winter coats out let alone do we even want to yet. So I love my capes to throw on over any outfit, whether it's a trip to the grocery store or out on the town for a date night. Also perfect for those rainy days.
  • The hunter umbrella. I like the umbrellas that are taller and more caved. That way you less likely to still get wet while using an umbrella.
  • Lastly accessories, who doesn't love to accessorize? I do!
Happy rainy day!

Fall Fashion; How To Wear Leather

This fall I have a new obsession with leather.  Here is a simple outfit with leather pants matched with a long cable knit sweater and is actually one of my favorite ways to wear leather this fall.
A long cable knit sweater is always a fall must have in a closet. It's a personal favorite of mine since I am a mom on the go.
I added two different style of shoes with this outfits. The black boots are great if your in a casual mood. The red pumps are perfect if you want to add a little spice to the outfit.
Lastly, I an infinity scarf on the cooler days is a great accessory.
Do you dare to wear leather?

How I get my Curls:Secret Revealed

Note: This is not a paid review. This is me writing on behalf of others asking how I get my curls.

Since I became a Mom I have done a few of those "mom cuts" with my hair. Before then I usually had pretty good length to my hair. I now wear my hair long since my husband finally told me after 5 years that he doesn't care for the short look. But I hate throwing my hair in a pony all the time or just wearing it down and strait.  lets just face it, sometimes us moms don't have much time for ourselves.

So I purchased the Bubble Wand. There is my secret ladies. On days when I feel like curling my hair I use my bubble wand. I can get tight or lose curls. I sometimes even leave the curls in for the next day and it gives a more fluffy and even more lose curls. The secret is out.

Have a blessed day!

Mom Fashion Must Haves

I love fashion. Once I became a mom I told myself I would not fall into the trap. You know the trap that includes sweat pants, hair pulled back into a pony, etc. So when I had our first daughter wanted easy outfit ideas that still looked stylish and made me feel great at the same time. I wanted to feel comfy since being a mom your always on the go. Whether its a trip to the store or playing on the floor with your child.

With that being said I wanted to share a few of my favorite mom must haves. I like to work my pieces into more than one outfit. You can easily do that with a denim button up and a pair of black jeans. They can coordinate with so many other outfits. My animal print flats are another favorite of mine. It's a must have in my shoe closet. They are easy for us on the go moms yet still fashionable. Lastly accessorising is always fun. It completes the outfit. Nothing says simple like a scarf. And of course I love my cross body purse. It frees your hands up when juggling the little ones.

There you have it, a few simple mom must haves that are simple and fashionable.

A Fashion Dare!

Since I became a mother I haven't worn any sort of printed pants, leggings or jeans. To be honest I'm not sure why. Maybe I was afraid to step outside the box again. Or I fell in the "mom wagon" and became boring? I also once swore to myself I would never become the mom with her hair always in a pony tail. But did I? I'd like to think not.

About a week ago my oldest daughter and I went out on a little shopping extravaganza. I have lost a little bit more weight and wanted to treat myself. A good reason right? On our way home we made a quick pit stop at Target. What girl doesn't love Target?! It just happened that they had printed ankle pants on sale for only 15$. Can't go wrong there. They caught my eye as if they had a glowing ring around them saying, "pick me!" I won't buy something unless I love the item.

After trying them on and getting the "okay" from my daughter, I decided to make a bold choice and get them. I'm so glad I did because they make feel like I look thiner.  I made a fashion dare and no longer feel stuck in the "mom box".

Mommy Fashion Tip 1; Quickstyle Brush

As a mother of three getting ready in the mornings can be challenging. Mornings when I don't have time to air dry my hair, I must blow dry. I would much rather let my hair naturally dry rather than using the dreadful blow dryer. When I received my vox box in the mail a while ago, it came with the Goody Quikstyle brush. I'll be honest, when I looked and felt the brush, first thing I thought was, this is going to hurt with wet hair.

The next morning I tested it out and I was wrong! I was surprised it did not hurt. It cut my blow drying time in half, which is helpful with my long hair.

You blow dry your hair as you would with any other brush. It is just like drying your hair with a towel and a blow dryer at once. The blue microfiber in between the bristles act as the towel. I totally recommend this pretty neat brush to new mothers out there who are on the go, or have an 18 month old like me tugging on your legs.
