I have always had a passion and eye for interior design growing up. I would always rearrange my bedroom since elementary days and decorating it on my own. At the age 19 I bought my first home. It was a giant blank canvas to me and my passion for interior design grew even stronger. I would often have friends come to me after walking through my home asking for design advice. But it didn't hit me until I was 29 years old that this was my calling. Therefore I decided to go back to college and earn my bachelors in interior Design!
Today I am currently attending Kendal College of Art and Design of Ferris State University. I am one of the board members of their IIDA club for Kendal College of Art and Design. When I graduate my goal is to work for a firm here in Grand Rapids and to do some freelance work as I'd like to someday own my own interior design company. It's truly awesome when your passion becomes your career.
I'm a believer that your home should tell a story of you and your family. I love to find antiques and give them a new meaning. My style is a more eclectic and farmhouse mixed together. Yet I like to still keep it simple and clean with a pop of color.
