Halloween Treats

Ever since Halloween has been on our minds, my daughters have been asking when am I going to make the bones and witch hats. I made them last year for the first time and they were a total hit. Since it seems that I have started a tradition I thought I'd share again this year the fun Halloween treats.

They are fun to make and great to get your kids involved. Our oldest likes to bring the bones to school for a snack with her lunch. her classmates think their either so cool or creepy. Ha ha ha. You know how first graders can be!

My favorite is the witch hats. They are simple and quick to prepare. My seven and four year old can even help with these. They go a little with one of our themes this year...hint hint.

Next we have the Bones. They are made of out pretzels, marshmellows and white chocolate chips melted. Oh are these delishious and our oldest daughters favorite.

You can't go wrong on Halloween with these trick-or-treats!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween from Three Sassy Sisters!

Well, The weather isn't the nicest here today. But that won't stop us from trick-or-treating. The past couple days we have been getting ready for Halloween. We finally were able to carved our pumpkins. Vivian wasn't too sure about the inside. She kept saying, "this is so gross!" Of course my husband and I ended up finishing gutting of the pumpkins. We then gathered the seeds and made pumpkins seeds. It's a tradition I passed on to my own family now. I'm sure a lot of you roast your seeds too? This is how we roasted our this year!

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Every year we make our traditional style. It is more salty. We also tried a sweet version too.
Ingredients (salty)
raw pumpkin seeds, salt, and lawry salt, oil
Directions
First you want to wash them of course.
Next in a bowl mix the seeds in some oil. enough so their coated.
Now add your seasoning, and put in the oven at 370 degrees.
I flip our every 15 minutes, and when their starting to turn brown, their done!

Ingredients(sweet)
Raw pumpkins seeds, ground cinnamon, sugar, oil OR melted butter
Directions
You repeat the steps above. You may add more cinnamon and sugar after their finished to taste.

We also made some other spooky treats for tonight

Hope everyone has a blessed day. Stay tuned to see what the girls are going to be for Halloween.
