My alarm started going off at 6AM. A half hour earlier than the previous school year. This year I knew I needed the extra half hour of time before the rest of the house awoke. Me time is important. I pushed the coffee on button and continued to prepared myself for the big "back to school day." I glance over at the kitchen counter and see the backpacks all lined up. I continue to open the fridge to grab my hazelnut creamer and see the already prepared school lunches from the night before.

6 Great Back To School Deals
If you missed yesterdays post the theme was Back To School. Believe it or not, it is quickly creeping up on us parents. It can become a stressful time of year for both us parents and our children.
Therefore I wanted to share some very fun back to school item that are a few of my favorite. All these items are from GroopDealz. My blog has been affiliated with GroopDealz for sometime now and it is really neat how they work. With that being said here is their latest and greatest back to school features that I adore for my own Daughters.
Personalized reusable lunch baggies
A great way to go green. I started using reusable lunch bags for my Daughter's lunch last school year. She loved them as well as I.

Is It Friday Yet?!
Have you ever had one of those weeks where you want to just throw your hands up and surrender? That is exactly how I feel this week. Where do I even begin? Oh yes, with the cranky kids. Anyone Els have tired and cranky kids who started school this week? We sure do in this house. On top of that our two youngest have been battling the fever that's going around. I dislike when my kids are sick. But they sure were snuggle bugs for once. Which caused the housework to pile up, literally in my basement.
Finally today all the kids are feeling up to par. I was able to tackle the mountain of laundry and pushed aside housework. Not so fun but relieving once it was finished. The week started to look up as much as it could for now. Till I noticed our dog had ran away. He managed to escape from his collar. Which means no numbers if someone were to find him to contact me. Grrr! We drove around and searched for him and he was no where to be seen. Not once but twice. Which is unusual. He still is not home.
To end our not so great week, we are saying our good byes to my husbands Grandma Hoffman. Our daughters Great Grandma Hoffman. Such an amazing lady with such a great legacy left behind at age 90. As much as it is a sad time, I like to think of it more of a celebration of her life lived here on earth.

Last Week Of Summer...
School is just around the corner so we are enjoying our last week of summer. Myself as a mother am trying to focus on having fun with the girls while trying not to stress out. I always feel a little sad, lonely, you name it when school starts up and my house is quieter.
This year I will have two in school. I can't believe our Viv is starting pre-school. I'm sad to have her leave me like a baby bird learning to fly. I know I will cry once I get in my car after dropping her off. I did with our first daughter. At the same time I am so excited for her and know that she is too. I pray that she gains some friendships in her classroom. I pray she enjoys learning like her big sister. Even though it's only 3 mornnings a week, and I will have our youngest home still with me full time, I will miss her tons! I will also miss our oldest who is entering first grade. I feel old stating that I have a first grader.
I'm excited for their new journeys this school year.

Winter Break is Over...
The first morning getting back into the swing of things is always the hardest. Today was the first day back to school after Christmas break. It was enjoyable having our oldest daughter home with all of us girls during the day times. Compared to the beginning of the school year, I think our middle daughter Viv has realized she likes her alone time now while big sissy is at school. Even though we had a busy Christmas break, I enjoyed every part of it spent with family and our daughters.
We even started the project of cleaning out our basement so it will be ready to start finishing in a couple months. It's amazing how much a family can collect over 6 years in storage. We were even finding a few things we never opened from when we bought our home. We don't have a big house, it's your average 3 bedroom, 1 good size bathroom home, with a full basement. It's a newer built home from the 90's with cathedral ceilings and a great room that I fell in love with. I think it helps it feel more spacious. It was suppose to be our starter home. and in five years our plan was to buy a bigger home. Does that ever happen?! This month marks our sixth year of living in our starter home and 3 kids later. Oh, lets not forget about our big dog and cat too! So we decided to finish the rest of our basement to add more living space. And for now, i'll dream of my 4 bedroom home with 2.5 bathrooms.

One of many finding tucked away from one of my wedding showers. These are advice cards from Everyone who attended the shower. Felt refreshing to reread.
My newest favorite purchase; my hunter rain boots!
My husband bought me a new hair styling curler? I finally had time to try it out. I totally loved it.

This morning I spend with my coffee and in prayer.
Our littlest on a mommy and daddy dinner date over Christmas break while her big sissy's stayed at their Grandma and Grandpa D's.
Bless Everyone Today!

Second week of school
Wow, have we been exhausted!! Along with exhausted, were some bearish children! Were these kids mine?! Yup, they sure were! The First week of school was full of pure excitement. Don't get me wrong, so was the second week of kindergarten! As we are adjusting to the new FULL day kindergarten, someone is getting a little tired after school. Which is to be totally expected. Not only is it an adjustment for her, but her little sisters as well. They had to get back into the swing of going to bed early (who am I kidding!!), and waking up early as well. Our middle child, Vivian does NOT and I repeat, does NOT like going to sleep! Not only did they have to adjust, but mommy did as well! Although Evalyn is exhausted, we had a great report from her teacher already! She is adjusting perfectly and doing great in her class. Listening great, along with doing her work! Not to be bias, but that sounds like my little Miss Evalyn! To sum it up; we are all adjusting well to the new school year! I'm sure the bearish children of mine will soon return to cheerful children once again!
