"Well.. I suppose I will start with the basics: I'm Julia. I have a son, Myles, who will be 2 this summer. I graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree in History with my teacher's certificate. I have moved a total of 17 times since I first moved out of my parents house 9 years ago when I was 19. I currently live in the East Bay (of San Francisco). We moved out here last summer from Illinois. I have also lived in Florida. For now, I am a Stay-At-Home-Mom. I do plan to go back to work, just not sure when. My days are spent doing typical mom and housewife duties: cooking, cleaning, parks, gym classes, play-dates, Toy Story, board-books, and tons of messes. I don't have a lot of me-time, so my blog isn't updated as much as I would like, but I love sharing my newest recipes, my latest DIY projects, parenting advice, and all the cuteness that is my crazy, adventurous, and curious toddler."

Leaving the Rut
"From day one our journey wasn’t “normal”. We met online (more and more prevalent these days), we got married about 6 months after meeting, left careers, went through unemployment, sold our house, lived full-time in our RV, got pregnant, Tavis accepted his dream job(!!!!) only to find out that we would have to move 1,200 miles from our home and family to an island...We have now been married 3 years and have an amazing, ridiculous 18 month old little boy (Aiden) who keeps us busier than we let on."
