Fall is here!

It's that time of year again here in Michigan! I probably say every season is my favorite once is approaches, but I sincerely feel fall is my all time favorite. A few of our favorite fall activities include; family car rides through the country and gaze at all the colorful trees. We go for walks and pick up as many colorful leaves possible. It's that time of year when apple cider is famous in the grocery stores. We visit the local pumpkin patches, and the list goes on!

Sofar this month I was honored to chaperon Evalyn's field trip to alocal pumpkin patch. I love being able to be apart of her schoolactivities. It's a joy watching all the kindergartner interact witheach other. I won't lie, it's also a little over whelming too! I giveteachers a lot of credit!

Thisweek we went into our backyard to find colorful leaves for ourproject, which is surrounded by woods. We are blessed to live in thecity but yet feel like were in the county! We decided to pressleaves. I'm sure you all remember doing this at one time or another.We liked making a little science out of it and talk about how eachleaf is different, why they change colors and what kind of trees makewhat leafs. My girls love this kind of stuff.

Pressingleaves

1. All you need is dry leaves, wax paper, an iron and a iron board
2. Tear 2 sheets of wax paper; sandwich the leaves between the wax sheets.
3. Press the iron on the wax paper where the leaves are, simple!!
4. Your have pressed leaves!! Now you may use them for decorations on your table or wherever you desire!
