Birthdays are a big deal in our family. It usually ends up being the Birthday "weekend"! Today is Evalyn's 6TH Birthday!!! I can't believe she turned 6 today! As I say, " at 12:35AM we gained at 6 year old".
This morning we made a special Birthday breakfast! it entailed, chocolate chip pancakes topped with powder sugar. Later we are going to take a trip out to the mall. Of course we can't forget the cupcakes we will enjoy with Daddy and sissy's
Six year ago today bringing a baby into this world at the age of 18 was frightening on all aspects, I won't lie! I was worried how people judged me and my fiance(now husband!) because we were not married yet. I was also scared of all the responsibilities that came along with becoming a young parent. I would also be lying if I didn't say there was a little excitement in me too. I put faith in God and was lucky to marry my husband and become a family. It was not easy starting off on our own raising a baby, we both worked out buts off! With many struggles of being a young parent, we were able to become first time homeowners!! Luckily for my husband he just finished his mechanic school before he meet me, and i was able to graduate high school! I did attend college for a short time and decided it was not for me, and wanted to stay home with my baby.It is doable! Maybe in the future!
When it comes down to it with all the struggles, emotions I wouldn't have any other road! I am beyond proud of the young little lady she is today and the special bond we have!!
