Roughly over a year ago we bought chalk paint for our girls' thinking we would paint a chalkboard in their toy room. Far from the case, I now have what we call a chalk wall in my kitchen/dinning area! It was all my idea. i think my husband thought I was a little on the crazy side with this idea of painting the WHOLE wall BLACK. I've seen other parents do it for their kids and looked so much fun. As my husband started painting it, I started thinking to myself, "what was I thinking?!" Of course I didn't want my husband to know I was second guessing myself once I saw the FIRST coat of pure...black...chalkboard paint covering my whole wall right in the MIDDLE of my kitchen and dinning area!!!

Once it was all dried and had to sit for 3-4 days, the girls could make art all over the chalk wall!! Once they could make it pretty I fell in love with our calk wall. I'm so happy I made my husband paint the WHOLE....WALL...PURE...BACK...chalkboard paint!!
