DIY Spring Wreath

Today I am writing out of frustration with this cold weather hanging on. I would much rather be sitting outside enjoying my patio furniture while writing this post, yet I am still stuck inside bundled up drinking my sizzling hot coffee trying to keep warm. I think mother nature might be a little confused right now.

Even though it may not feel like it here in Michigan, spring is around the corner. It was proven to me as I glanced into our neighbors yard and saw her tulips peaking out of the ground. Yet, all I could think was,"You pour tulips it's still too cold." Therefore I couldn't help but make a spring wreath for our front door. We needed a spring pick me up around here. I like the simplicity of a wreath, so this one is simple and quick to do. I bought all my supplies at Michaels craft store.

What I used.

  • I bought an already made stick wreath for 4.99$
  • 3 yards of ribbon. The ribbon with wire is easier to make a bow.
  • A wooden "Happy Easter" decoration. It has a loop to hang. So I can put it on for Easter and take it off to leave up as a spring wreath. Michaels had other Easter wooden decorations like this one too.
  • Hot glue to glue on the bow. If you don't know how to make a bow, youtube is great!
