It's Snowing!!

It officially feels like winter here in Michigan. Yesterday evening the snow started falling, expecting only about an inch. The meteorologists were off to say the least, about 4 inches later. That's quit alright with us though; more the snow the better. I can't stand when we hit the brisk winter temperatures with no snow on the ground.

Our daughters were so excited, they couldn't wait to get outside in the snow. Our youngest kept pointing out the windows repeating, "whats dat". It was so darn cute! Last year she was a baby, therefore this is all new to her. Once we had our homemade waffles for breakfast with our special guest at the table, their Papa D, we bundled all the girls up and headed out in the snow. We were able to see the big plows drive by. You can hear them plows coming I swear a block way. Poor Helen was so bundled up in her snowsuit she could barley walk in the snow. So she sat in the baby sled the whole time, and was pulled around the yard. As well as the older two were pulling each other in the sled and having a snow ball of a time. Haha, get it? Helen did great her first time in the snow. I'm ready for some more snow to fall.

It's Snowing

It's snowing! When we have our first official snow fall of the year, the little kid in me gets excited. Our girls are excited as well. My oldest is hoping to be able to wear her snow pants tomorrow. Although I'm sure we won't have that much snow accumulate tonight. Then again, you never know here in Michigan. There is just something peaceful about snow falling from the sky. I can't imagine having winter with no snow. I can't wait to play in the snow with my daughters!

Speaking of weather, we were so blessed to end our weekend up at the cabin with temperature's hitting 70 degrees! It was pleasant with no T.V. around. I enjoyed working on my knitting while watching the girls play, along with listening to talk radio. I really enjoyed listening to the talk radio station; must be a sign of aging? Sunday we went on some hikes in the woods, and collected pine cones. I love being surrounded by God's beauty. It's such an overwhelming sense of peace. We really enjoyed our weekend, now back to reality!

Stay tuned to see what we do with our pine cones.
