Vintage Thrift Finds

As many of you already know I love to go thrift shopping. I mainly like to thrift shop for vintage items, or if i'm looking to do a project. To me its like digging for treasures. You never know what you may find. Here are a few of my favorite thrift finds from this past year.

I love vintage books.
I found this pretty child's wicker rocker at a goodwill near us. It was a bright red, so it had to be painted to match Helen's bedroom.
I found these cool vintage school desks at a locally owned thrift store at 3.00 a piece! What a steal!
This vintage end table is a waiting project.

I love my vintage Pyrex. I collect them, although they are hard to come by.

My neat leather, stylish, already made to look vintage nine west boots.

You never know what you may find digging with your father in their attack of their garage. I did not bring that home. Ha ha ha. But I did the baskets and pitch fork.

What are some of your favorite thrift finds?? Comment and share. I would love to hear!

The Thrift Jackpot

This past Saturday my oldest Daughter and I visited our local Goodwill. I was so happy when my daughter was excited to hit the thrift store. I'm glad she understand it's okay to shop at local thrift stores. Even though we don't need to shop at them, I feel there is still nothing wrong with thrift shopping. You can find some pretty nice collectibles and clothing items at them. We like to call it "finding treasures". A few things I am always on the look out for are vintage books, vintage toys, vintage Pyrex dishes and name brand clothing. I am picky about the clothes. They have to be in perfect condition. I think thrift shopping can be a lot of fun.
Here are some items that me and my daughter found this weekend at our local Goodwill. I have to admit, my daughter is getting good at this whole "finding treasures". She found an almost perfect condition cabbage patch doll. We also found a vintage book from the 1960's, along with some vintage Pyrex cups. And of course we found some clothing items for baby sister. The vintage books are for baby sisters room; which is vintage themed. We hit the jackpot Saturday! Some day's are not as good. What do you thrift for?
