Cindy Lou and Sammy Too Go To The Mall- Book Review

As a parent I cannot stress how important reading is to a child. I strongly believe there is never an excuse not to read to your child. Reading helps your child imagination grow, speech and brain and so much more I could go on. But I  I will safe that for another day.

Today is all about one of our first and more to come book reviews! We are so pleased, excited and honored to be able to review and share these books with our followers/ readers. Especially with Christmas around the corner, these books could make a great gift.  Do you like to start your Christmas shopping early? I say I am going to every single year.....and fail.
One of my favorite ways to spend quality time with my three Daughters is to snuggle up and read a good book. What is a better way to review a book. I recommend the book, Cindy Lou and Sammy Too Go To The Mall , written by Cheryl McNeil, for all ages. It is a great book to teach children about others with disabilities and guide dogs. Also those who use guide dogs and why guide dogs are special. Sammy is Cindy Lou's guide dog since she is mostly blind and also her friend in the book. In the book they take an adventure to the mall. The book teaches children how Sammy helps Cindy Lou get around as her guide dog.

It is a great lesson to learn for any child and for my Daughters. And they thoroughly enjoyed the book themselves.

Books To Read Before Kindergarten & Why Reading Is Important

We do a lot of reading in our house. Reading to your child is important in many ways.

  • It allows you to spend quality time with your child and grow that special bond.
  • It's been proven out there somewhere that reading to your child in their early years; like before preschool, can help them succeed in their education.
  • Speech. It allows them to learn the correct sounds.
  • Believe it or not but reading to your child will teach them how to express themselves.
  • When your child is going through a certain state of emotions etc. there are stories out there you can read so they don't feel alone and understand.
  • Reading can help develop a child's imagination.
  • It can also teach a child learn how to use their solving skills.
  • I could go on and on but lastly it also shows a child that reading is fun and most likely they will want to continue to become a great reader themselves and learn to love books.
With that being said I wanted to share a list of books to read before your child enters kindergarten that I had received.
