Our Mother & Daughter Photos Plus The Storm

This Sunday (yesterday) we went on a fun family adventure involving a task of trying to accomplish some Mother/ Daughter Photos. When I bought my camera and started my photography I taught my husband how to use my camera. It helps we are both artistic. I posed us while he took the photos. Although I to admit being your own photographer isn't all that easy. But we sure had fun and made the best out of it. At the end I always end up saying to my husband, " you did good, we should be a team!" With that, here is our Mother/ Daughter photos. Some were not as photogenic as others. Can you tell?

And the storm. The storm made for a great picture background off Lake Michigan as it slowly rolled in on to lake shore. Though you never know what is going to hit once it comes on land. It may just die out. All the storm photographers were out with their major cameras trying to catch the lightning. This storm had none and only one rumble of thunder. Leaving beach goers not worried...or us.

Viv ended up finding a feather while running on the sand dunes in between photo breaks. Key to great photos. My first thoughts when she started tickling me in the face with it was...gross this feather is from a seagull full of who knows what germs. Hence my face? Of course my Husband caught this moment on camera and I had to edit it. Memories and natural photography is key.
So...I ended up going with it...the feather tickling that is.
This time it was pay back. These photos were such an enjoyable time as a family.
As I mentioned prior, I had one Daughter who was the most photogenic. That would be this silly girl. Also known as the feather tickler.
Our littlest was not having it so this is the best we were able to get. Not to shabby with the storm rolling in. By this time it was like...hurry.
The storm started rolling in closer on Lake Michigan. The air became a sudden chill. It was no longer a warm 80 something degrees.
This was the last photo of our Mother/ Daughter shoot since the girls wanted to hurry to play on the beach. That lasted only a few minuted before the storm rolled into shore and winds picked up out of nowhere, leaving people heading for their cars and shelter. Sand is not friendly when the winds are that high and either are light weight dresses. The winds were so high I couldn't even open our car door.  But at least we were able to get some neat Mother/ daughter photos with a fun storm story...again. Ha ha.
