Snowstorm & Deep Freeze!

Not often do you hear the news tell you that the outdoors can be colder than your freezer inside your home. That is a hint for me to stay inside my home. Ha ha. The only part that sucks about the frigid temperatures during this winter storm is we can't go outside to play in the snow. It is simply not safe to play outside in below 0 degree temperatures with around -40 windchill. I can honestly claim this is the first winter we had frost on the inside of our windows. Luckily we were able to get outside on Sunday before the arctic temps arrived.

With all of this not so lovely winter weather, today is day two of extending the girls Christmas break. Yes two snow days in a row. I can feel the tension boiling in the house. The girls are starting to go stir crazy as so am I. You can only do so many puzzles, crafts , read and play barbies before they start wanting to pull each others hair out.

I love my daughters to the moon and back but I am also ready for them to get back in school just as much as I think they are. In addition I bet they are missing their school friends and teachers. As for myself I am starting to miss green grass with warmer weather. After all winter has started early for us here in Michigan. Maybe I can hope for an early spring?
