As a mother of three daughters there are so many things I want them to learn from me. Here I put a list that I put together of the first 50 things that came to my mind. Enjoy.
My dear daughters, what I hope you someday learn from me,
1.Your Daddy will be your first true love. He loves you more than you will probably understand.
2.Beauty comes from within your heart and soul, not from the outside of your body.
3.Don't let other people or magazines make you feel you should a certain size.
4.There is always going to be that "mean" girl in your life. Whether at school or at work when your older. Do not run and hide from her.
5. Hard work eventually pays off. Whether you think so or not in that exact moment.
6. You may seem small in this big world, but trust me, you are not small, you can make a big difference.
7. Always make up with your sisters. Having a sister is like God blessing you with a built in best friend.
8. Drink plenty of water. I know this may sound weird, but you can never drink too much water. it's great for your body and healthy.
9. The universe needs to hear what you have to say on your point of view.
10. You are always welcome to share my shoes.
11. You can ALWAYS tell me anything, I mean anything.
12. I will be your shoulder to cry on when a boy breaks your heart.
13. Learn to understand math, it can truly be fun.
14. Learn to like drinking tea.
15. Don't drink a lot of pop..please.
16. Keep watching me in the kitchen. Don't ever think it annoys me. I love it.
17. Challenge yourself.
18. Please know being a women may not always be easy.
19. We are partners in this together, that being said, I am the mother I am today because of you. <3
20. We are not enemies or at war. We have a loving mother and daughter relationship and will always work at it.
21. We will have our differences, please know that does not mean we dislike each other.
22. Food is bliss.
23. We will cry during movies.
24. Do not use school for socializing, please take advantage of it for learning.
25. When you get angry and need to scream, please scream into your pillow. It's great therapy.
26. Playing in the snow is always fun when you live in Michigan, even when your close to 30 years old.
27. Ice cream and creme brule is the best desserts invented.
28. Try stepping out of your comfort zone once in a while.
29. Stay up late in bed and read a great book. Maybe an old classic like Mobby Dick.
30. If you choose to wear make up some day, let me have the joy in teaching you how to apply it correctly.(apparently I didn't explain that correctly.)
31. Don't chase the bad boys.
32. The color red can help boost your mood.
33. Proper table manners is a must. Napkins on your nap. Pinkies out with tea.
34. Try to experience culture.
35. You do NOT have to learn the hard way, you can learn from me. When I speak this I am meaning; School, marriage, babies. Not the order of babies, marriage and then school, please.
36. It's okay to stay in and have movie nights with your mom.
37. It's okay to go to the thrift stores, whether you need to or not. Sometimes it's just an fun adventure.
38. Never judge a book by its cover.
39. Fairy tales are fake. It's better now that you learn that. Although they are fun to read and dream about.
40. When you are older be a wife not his mother. He already has a mother.
41. Watch me and listen when I teach you housework. It will benefit you in the real world.
42. Learn to be creative, life will be so much more fun!
43. Be silly.
44. Don't let others bring you down. Easier said then done sometimes.
45. Never settle.
46. Get good grades in high school.
47. Have fun.
48. Life will through you curves, learn to swerve or hit them head on.
49. Play a sport. Even if it's just once.
50. Most importantly, be yourself.
