Birthday Party Along With Party Planning Tips!

This past weekend we had another birthday party! I love planning birthday parties for our daughters. For this party we kept it pretty simple. But lets be for real, If I were rich I would hire a party planner and have big fancy birthday parties. But I'm not a celebrity, ha ha. No need to worry though, there are many ways to make a fancy and fun birthday party on a budget.

Our daughter wanted her favorite colors purple and pink, so I tied those into her party. I love to create things, therefore I got crafty and made some pom pons for decorations. Of course it's not a birthday party with out the banner. We came across one on clearance at Target that happened to match. Lucky us!
We added some flare to our water bottles by using duct tape. I'm sure you pinners have seen the idea on Pinterest. It hides that ugly paper wrapping and makes it more festive. Lastly, we cannot forget the cake. For this party we choose to do cupcakes. I love this idea because it saves time from cutting the cake, along with the mess with knives. You can easily serve the cupcakes or choose to have them as a buffet style. In all it was a great birthday party.

Tips for birthday parties on a budget.

*Start planning ahead of time. Gives you more time to create things and find good deals.
*Shop for trays and bowls at the dollar store. They are still nice looking and the guests won't know.
*Thrift! Thrift store are great for finding candy jars and such.
*make you own food. I like to do meatballs. They are easy and you may freeze them till the party.
*Send invitations on-line. Its free and people use their computers or phones everyday!
