Shoes and clothes!

Having a house full of girls, it's not unlikely to have a house full of shoes! We have a small obsession with shoes. Okay that might be putting it lightly! I can't help but fall in love with shoes for myself and my girls. Whenever we go to a store; we have to at least stroll through the shoe department.
Evalyn's latest shoes for school!
Not only having a house full of shoes, but having closets stuffed with clothes is also common in our home. We love to shop. What girls don't?! When we had just the two daughters, expenses never crossed my mind. Once Helen was born I started thinking of ways to save money, but still be able to shop for all three girls. Helen does get hand me downs from her sisters. That helps a lot! Although I have notice by the third baby, the clothes are getting worn out. So I find myself having to buy her new clothes anyways. Therefore being a family of all girls who love to shop, I have some up with ways to save money that works for us!
Here is how we like to save money on clothes!

A Baby Gap thrift find that I added my personal touches to.

  1. Sales- We love sales! usually if its a good enough sale, we get the girls all three a shirt or pants! For example, when the Gap has 2 for 20 dollars! Target usually has their mix and matches 4 for 20 dollars.
  2. Clearance racks -Clearance racks are our best friends! I even shop for myself on the clearance racks. We love to look for shoes on the clearance too.
  3. Thrift stores- I love searching for treasures for the whole family. It takes time to find the good stuff, so I usually go on my own. I'm very picky though about the quality of the item. I figure, what they don't know; doesn't hurt!
  4. Garage sales-Me and the girls love to go garage sales. This summer we didn't go to many because of the heat!
  5. Sewing- I am slowly learning how to sew! I have already done some small projects.
  6. Knitting-I have been taught to knit over a year ago, and love to find the time for it! Still not a pro, but hopeing to add the my girls closets.
I am always trying to find the best deal, or be creative with my girls closets!

I completely know what you mean - I have a shoe thing as well!! No matter what, I always seem to be able to find a great pair, clothes just aren't like that! I recently went to a sale where Steve Madden had 40% off their whole store, let's just say things got a little crazy!! :)

Thank you so much for linking up with Style Sessions, it was so lovely to have you part of it! I really hope to see you again this Tuesday afternoon!
