As I had much time during my recovery after surgery (still recovering) I had time to think about my blog. Dangerous right? I want my blog to start taking a specific direction...A Mommy/Parenting blog. So I started my research and planning and small overhaul on my blog design if you haven't already noticed. So I can up with the best Mommy post to start off my Mommy blog with.
My First Mistake I Made As A First Time Mommy
I have to admit I made this mistake while I was pregnant in my third trimester. I still consider it my first ever Mommy mistake though. Our Daughter was due In later September therefore I had to bare the heat of the summer. I had long hair and could no longer take it. Off to the hair stylist I went. I chopped my hair off...literally. It no longer even sat on my shoulders just a little on my neck. I was so in love with my new Mommy hair cut. I flaunted it with my pregnant belly where ever we went. As the days continued on I started to really miss my long locks of hair. One night I literally cried over my first mistake I have made as a first time Mommy; chopping my hair off. I then made a pack with myself I would not go to those extreme measures again. Good thing hair grows right?
You would have thought I learned my lesson. Nope! Two and a half years later after welcoming our second Daughter into the world, I couldn't get to the hair stylist fast enough again. What was wrong with me?! I thought I knew better? The next day I cried. I kept telling myself "It's just hair, it will grow back." Again I cut it super short. My Husband was not thrilled, but failed to mention it till way after the fact. Maybe he could of saved me form destroying my hair after having our first two Daughters, Ha ha! By the time our third Daughter arrived I decided to color my hair instead of cutting. It was a much better choice for me. Although now I am thinking of going back to my original color just like in these pictures.

OMG, I'm pregnant with my first and did the same thing! Although it was combined with being in the military and hating putting it in a bun. It's finally getting back to a length I like which is good since I'm due in a couple weeks and wanna look good in my babies newborn photos.
My Wholesome Home
I fail to see how this is a "first time mommy" issue. Every girl has done this. Hardly just a mommy fail.
And I've noticed how a lot of your blog is focused on physical appearance and weight. Are you ever worried how that might effect your three girls?
I respect your opinion and can see where you are are coming from. As a first time Mom most of us look for a change in some way or another. My way was cutting my hair. As for my blog it directed towards people who can relate to the topics. As for the main focus of my blog is is geared towards Mommy hood.
