Trick-Or-Treat

Halloween was a success. Although the weather was not, we didn't let that stop us from trick-or-treating. Family gathered at our home and we ordered pizza; our tradition the past few years. Our spooky snacks were a big hit, and mighty delicious too. The weather wasn't the greatest; it was chilly and a little sprinkles here and there. Halloween in Michigan you never know what the weather will do. It could be sunny and warm, cold and rainy or snowing. But you learn to tweak the costumes to stay warm, and of course coats.
This year Evalyn was Dorthy, Vivian was a black kitty cat (just like ours), and Helen was suppose to be a lamb. We kept her inside due to the weather. I got such a kick out of Vivian while trick-or-treating. She ran from house to house like it was a competition. Or she was just smart and keeping herself warm. Either way all the girls received a lot of candy. At the end of the night they were tuckered out. So was I!

All the girls. My niece in the purple princess and Helen being silly in the back!
We have a rule with our Halloween candy; only 2 pieces a day. After lunch and after dinner. Do you have a rule with your child's Halloween candy?

How cute! My Maegan was Dorothy a few years ago and I loved her costume. We have a similiar rule too regarding candy.. I let them take a piece to school with their lunch and have two after dinner.
